Two ADEXL Skill/OceanXL questions

 Hi,

Just a couple of quick questions:

1. is it possible to manipulate simulation settings (e.g. corners) in an ADEXL view using Skill, i.e. open an ADEXL session and modify parameters without using the GUI?  I didn't find commands for this in the ADEXL Skill ref - they do exist in the OceanXL ref, but if you use OceanXL you lose the ability to interactively query and modify the DB.

2. Order of execution - do OceanXL settings depend on the order in which commands are being submitted and evaluated?  For example, suppose I have a list of tests and then a list of corners - by default all tests would run with all corners.  What happens if I add another test in the OceanXL later?  Does it run with the same corner set?  This is only an example, of course.  There are many possible conflicting interactions between settings.  How does the tool determine which settings get used in each case?

Thanks and happy new year,

Mike.

    Hi Mike,

You could use the ocnxlSaveSetupAs() to save the settings to a new ADEXL view from your OCEAN script. You should also be able to use the axl.* SKILL functions, but it's hard to figure this out from the documentation (it's on our list of things to improve). So I'd suggest contacting customer support if you need detailed support on that.

If you add another test in OCEAN XL later, it will run over all corners - you have to explicitly call ocnxlDisableCorner() or ocnxlDisableCornerForTest() (and indeed there are other ocnxlDisable* functions) if you want something other than the default behaviour.

    Best Regards,

    Andrew.
