Hi everyone, Does anyone has the experience of designing tools in cadence ADE, like the default ones "parametric Analysis ", and so on. I want to add my personal function as a tool in Cadence ADE, can you give me some advice, and examples will be very appreciated. sorry to disturb you again if you have ever read this post in other place! Regards, zfeng

That's very dependent on what you actually want to add. Your question is very vague, so it's hard to give anything other than a vague answer, unfortunately...

    Andrew.

     Hi Andrew,

I have writen a skill function and use it as a callback function of a user menu, it's about read a picture into memory. I intend to add this menu under the tools(in ADE form) automatically when the ADE was triggered. and now, this menu has been added in shematic composer window at startup, but now I want to move it to the ADE form. last time ,you told me i can add a menu in ADE through this way:

    envSetVal("asimenv.startup" "sessInitTrigFunc" 'string "MYinitSession")

can you give me a simple example about my problem?

    Regards,

    zfeng

    Hi Zfeng,

I don't have a ready made example, and unfortunately don't have the bandwidth over the next couple of weeks to spend on this. Maybe somebody else has an example.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
