transform bBox information to toplevel

Hi

Could some one help me. I wrote a script, to search for labels in the hierarchy.

 leSearchHierarchy()

1) I can extract the bBox information for the searchresults, but I need the bBox respecting the toplevel (start of search).

I know abaout the dbTransformBBox, but I was not succesful with my poor skill knowledge...(;0)

2) I have multiple results for labels when I search for text. for example: "GND" will also show GND1, GNDANALOG, GND

Is there a way for an exact search, or do I have to filter the result with a compare.

Thanx

    Unfortunately the provided solution does not address the problem using the function referred to 'leSearchHierarchy' , (which is the issue I'm tackling just now too).

    If you want to use the items returned by the function 'leSearchHierarchy()'  how do you get the transformations required to map the results of the search to the top level ?  The solution you suggested does not use that function but invents its own search function to generate a list that it can manipulate.

    So the question remains...  how do you do it with the results from  'leSearchHierarchy()' ?

    You can't. It returns the objects found directly without any information about the "lineage" (or instance path) needed to get to the object. That's why the alternative approach was suggested.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
