Help my form variables are reset to default ........ or not?

Hi, We just discovered that a form, via which we set some site specific simulation options within ADE-L, gets reset to default values when opening other specific menus within ADE-L!! Strange about this however that "under the hood" the correct values are still there. I have created an options form (using "hiCreateAppForm") window in which users can select some settings out of a fixed set of choices. I use radiofield buttons for this ("hiCreateRadioField"). I have added some functionality to restore the selected values (in the same virtuoso session) to whatever the user has selected before. So re-opening the form will restore the settings according to what has been selected before. This even works after closing and then restarting ADE-L (in the same Virtuoso session that is): When re-opening the options menu all is set as the user has set it. I now however discovered a strange pitfall: When opening certain windows within ADE-L (e.g. "Session -> Load State" or "Setup -> Model Libraries ..." and then re-open this options-form, all settings seem to be reset to default! It is not even necessary to confirm these menus with "OK", even cancelling those menus will have the values reset already in my options-form! This alone is already unwanted behaviour but it gets worse: The values originally set by the user are apparently still present in memory as they are still exercised even though the values in the form tell differently! In other words: We don't get what we see! It has probably something to do with how I built up this form but I have no idea what it is that has these values reset and hope any expert out here can help me out. Thank you very much in advance. Jan.

Hi Lawrence, Thanks for your suggestion. I tried it with changing the variable names (and making sure they are really unique) but it didn't work. I don't have the Skill Development environment (yet, thinking about adding it) and thus am not sure how it would help me debugging in a "live" ADE-L environment. Maybe you could explain a bit more. How can I debug my skill code while it is interacting with other ADE-L components? Am I able to watch my varaibles while I am interacting with ADE-L (opening those menus, closing them again)? Will the debug environment help me out on this? Regards, Jan.
