Extract multiple from "M0<0:2>"

Hi guys,

i'm writing some code in order to make a layout size estimate from schematic (such code already exists but this is more for me to learn Skill). I've  found i can easily grab theW/L/Fingers/Multiples information (length = instance~>l...etc) but is there a simple way to grab the number of multiples when its embedded in the instance name, for example: M0<0:2>.

I guess its possible for me to write a function that grabs the instance name and if <> exists then extract the data accordingly, but this seems a little clumsy (& possibly even complicated for a novice).

Thanks

Stu
