Dear All,

I use rod to create a guardring path , original cont size is 0.3x0.3 in subRect ,

    Hi Charley

In IC615, MPP subparts can be access through new SKILL APIs such as rodGetSubPart, rodAddSubPart and rodDeleteSubPart. I think you should be able to resolve the problem using these functions. Please refer to $CDSHOME/doc/roduser/roduser.pdf for more info.

    Best regards

    Hi Charley

Actually prior to the addition of the 3 SKILL APIs, an MPP was treated as a single unit and hence there is no way to manipulate the subparts using SKILL. It might be possible to workaround this by manipulating the subpart form but I have not tried it. Luckily this is a SKILL form (as opposed to a C form for layout objects properties) so I think much can be done with it. Maybe you can give it a try.

    Best regards
    Quek

The supported way in IC5141 is to do a rodUnNameShape and then you can manipulate the subparts (but it's no longer a ROD object, of course).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
