SKill procedure to select and/or delete text notes from schematic

 I want to write a skill procedure to run on a schematic to delete all "text note" (or is it note text?) that matches a pattern--without having a bunch of menus popping open.  The pattern part isn't the problem, it's trying to select/delete the notes (these are not attached to any devices, they just float in the schematic).  Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Jason

    How about something like this?

    procedure( CCSdeleteNoteText(pattern)
       let( (cv allNoteText count)
          cv=geGetWindowCellView()
          allNoteText=setof(x cv~>shapes (x~>objType=="label" && !x~>parent))
          count=0
          foreach( text allNoteText
             when( rexMatchp(pattern text~>theLabel) dbDeleteObject(text))
             count++
          ) ;foreach
          printf("Total of %n note text deleted\n" count)
       ) ;let
    ) ;procedure

    Best regards

    That's just what I was looking for!  Thank you very much.  For future reference is there a manual where I can learn about the CellView object?

    Hi Jason

    You can refer to "Attribute Retrieval and Modification" section in the manual "Virtuoso Design Environment SKILL Reference". It is located at $CDSHOME/doc/skdref/skdref.pdf.

    Best regards
