menu files

I've seen several references to built in menu functionality by using a default file name (e.g. ciw.menu).  I cannot find a shred of documentation on this feature.  I've poked around in the samples directories and nothing.  Is this new in 6.1.x?  Where can I find a description, syntax, etc.?

thanks,

    Lin,

Menus files are not new in IC6 - they've been there for many releases now.

Look in <instdir>/tools/dfII/etc/tools/menus - there's a README file in there. The files are located using the "Cadence Search File" mechanism (sometimes known as CSF or "setup.loc" which is covered in the Cadence Application Infrastructure Guide.

There are solutions on Cadence Online Support on menus files.

    Regards,

    Andrew
