skill performance and application on OpenAccess DB

Hi, I tried to implement the traversal passing on every instance in the design. For the large design it takes a long time. May it be implemented as application on OpenAccess DB on C/C++? If yes, may you point me to any manual, explanations how to do it.

Thanks

If you want to access the database directly through C++ and still have the pcells evaluate, you probably should use the ITKdb layer rather than going directly through the OA API's. There are some examples in the documentation on ITKdb in the Cadence Integrators Toolkit Database reference manuals.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Does the itk db requres separate license? I cannot see itk db help - "Candence help unable to open...", and I don't see any related lib or include in the directory tree.

Hi, I found the article http://www.voom.net/cadence-itk-together-with-openaccess. As I understand the OA api is more morden c++ interface. If I want to use directly OA API, where do I find any examples, manuals? Thanks a lot. Stella

TheOA API documentation should be available at SI2.org. The documentation for ITKdb is  in the DFII/Cadence Integrator's Toolkit Database Reference in cdnshelp.

If you include the itkDB.h file and call the dbInit command from ITKdb in yourC++ program, you can operate with SKILL pcells.
