Disabling missing master warning in IC6

archive
archive over 14 years ago

Hello All,

I am doing some cell level skill processing on a library. The problem is I am constantly getting the missing master warning when I try to open a cell-view (schematic). I have to sit next to the monitor and keep pressing "Close" to proceed.

*WARNING* (DB-270337): Failed to open cellView (xxx symbol) from lib (xxx) in 'r' mode because cellview does not exist.

How can I disable this warning?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks,

Vijay

    Hi Vijay,

Presumably this is only happening because you are calling functions which graphically open a window containing the schematic. If you are trying to do some operation on lots of schematics, it would be better to use dbOpenCellViewByType() and process the schematic database that way without opening a schematic window. If you do that, there will be no popup dialog boxes.

Is this true? Are you opening schematic windows to do your operation? If so, why?

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thank you for your response!

Yes you are right, the script opens up the schematic graphically. The script does some manipulation on the schematic instances and the properties of the instances. So I believe the script was written to be in that way.

The script is one of the existing scripts and I am trying to use it to work on some shcematics.

    Thanks,

    Vijay
