Change conventional via naming

kb how
kb how over 14 years ago

Hi,

I'm performing some techfile setup which may required to change the conventional way of via naming, for example from M2_M1 to VIA1. As what i understanding, all related tool/functions (eg: TTB auto via, Mark Net and etc...) that are available in Cadence Virtuoso are tracing the via using via's layer1 and layer2 right?

So, by changing the via conventional naming should not causing any problem right? I'm hoping to get some feedback from the expert, so that easy for me to proceed for the next step.

Thanks in advance

I created a few test case and perform some tesing on via related tool/function such as Mark Net, Create Via -single/auto/stack and some TTB functions like contact array, area tap. All tool/functions that listed are working fine with no issue.

    Thanks
