copying pins in Skill

With writing this Skill code I am working on I need to copy pins that already exist in my layout. I've tried using dbCopyFig and dbCopyShape. Both of these do a copy and take the pin text with it. However, the end result is that the rectangle and attached text is not being recognized as pins. I know that when I select a pin in a layout and use copy (leHiCopy) and all works as expected. How can I copy pins withing Skill code and have the end copy recognized as a pin?

...nevermind.... I figured out that after I do a dbCopyFig if I do a  dbCreatePin of the copy then it works how I need it to... unless anyone has an easier/better way, or answer to why an leHiCopy would retain pin props and dbCopyFig does not... ? ? ?

dbCopyFig/dbCopyShape are much lower level functions than leHiCopy - and so they do exactly what it says - it copies the figure, and that's it...

    Andrew.
