rodCreatePath with 45 degree angles

Hi All,

I have created path objects with vias/contacts and the two connecting layers.  Everything works great except when my path has a 45 degree angle.  There are no vias/contacts on the 45 degree path turn.  This is shown in the attachment.  The vias/contacts always must be placed on a 90 degree grid.  They can not be turned 45 degrees to follow the path.  I would like vias/contacts to be placed on the 45 degree path turn appropriately and automatically.  The attachment also shows placed contacts how I'm hoping they can be automatically placed by the rodCreatePath. Is there a way to tell rodCreatePath to place contacts/vias on the 45 degree path turn?

 Thank you,

Stephanie

    Stephanie,

Use the ?diagonal t argument in the sub-rectangle definition, which corresponds to the "Diagonal" checkbox on the Create Multipart Path form (on the subrect definition). Note this only works if the subrectangles are square. You must also be using IC5141 USR4 or later.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
