Hi all I require the tech file via parameters in my script. Is there any function or code available to do the same? I am working on IC5141. Regards Brittoo

    U can have the lib name in parameter like "my_lib"

    after that: tf = techGetTechFile(ddGetObj("my_lib))

     Hi Brittoo,

    Slayer's answer starts to answer your question, and I will add to it.  It will depend on what types of via devices you have in your techfile, but here is one example:

    tf = techGetTechFile(ddGetObj("test"))
    => db:217181228
    techGetDeviceInClass(tf "syContact" "symbolic")
    => ("M1_P" "M1_N" "M1_POLY1" "M2_M1" "M3_M2")
    foreach(mapcar device techGetDeviceInClass(tf "syContact" "symbolic")
    techGetDeviceCParam(tf device "symbolic")
    )
    => ((("layer2ImpEnc" 0.0)
    ("layer2ImpLayer" nil)
    ("layer1ImpEnc" 0.0)
    ("layer1ImpLayer" nil)
    ("encByLayer2" 0.6)
    ("encByLayer1" 0.6)
    ("layer2" "metal1")
    ("layer1" "diff")
    ("viaLayer" "cont")
    )
    (("layer2ImpEnc" 0.0)
    ("layer2ImpLayer" nil)
    ("layer1ImpEnc" 0.0)
    ("layer1ImpLayer" nil)
    ("encByLayer2" 0.6)
    ("encByLayer1" 0.6)
    ("layer2" "metal1")
    ("layer1" "diff")
    ("viaLayer" "cont")
    )
    ...

    You can inspect what device classes there are using the techGetDeviceClass function:

     techGetDeviceClass(tf "" "symbolic")
    => ("ruleContact" "syRectPin" "syPin" "syContact" "syDepletion"
    "syEnhancement"
    )

    Hopefully this will get you started.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
