Cadence Setup issue

poonamagale
poonamagale over 13 years ago

We have installed Cadence v9.1.

The layout editor works fine. However, I am facing some problems while doing simulations.

When I run a simulation, the ouput waveform and log files are not generated.

I further checked the psf folder, but the input.punch file and the input.prf file were missing.

Could you please help me in identifying the issue?

Thanks.

Sorry to be difficult here, but there is no release called "Cadence", so identifying what tool suite you are talking about is rather hard. "v9.1" doesn't mean anything to me - the likely products with a release version number of "9.1" are RC91 (RTL Compiler), EDI91 (Encounter), PVS91 (Physical Verification Suite), EXT91 (QRC Extraction), ETS91 (Encounter Timing System), CONFRML91 (Conformal formal verification) - and a few others. Nothing really in the "Custom" space.

I also have no idea what the "input.punch" or "input.prf" files would be - I've never heard of these.

So, please can you identify which tools are you using - which version of Virtuoso (if indeed it is virtuoso) - Help->About in the CIW will tell you this. Which simulator, and which version of the simulator? And why would you expect there to be an "input.punch" file?

    Regards,

    Andrew.
