Form Problem

Hi, I have a problem with forms. I made a skill that you have to select an instance to work. It works fine until that. But when you select another instance (or again the same) and you apply my script I recieve the following message from the CIW:

*WARNING* hiDeleteForm: Cannot delete a form that is mapped or from within the form's callback (trtheForm)
WARNING* hiCreateForm: Could not delete already created form trtheForm

trtheForm is my forms name.

Any idea???

Thanks!!

    You cannot call a command like hiCreateAppForm while your form is open. It sounds like your code is trying to recreate your form every time you call it. Rather than recreating the form every time, you should simply create the form once and store off the form id in a global variable. Then subsequent calls to the program can call hiDisplayForm(). If there is some dynamic nature to this form such that it needs to be recreated every time with different information on it, then you can use commands like:

    hiIsFormDisplayed
    hiFormCancel

    Thanks for your answer!! The form needs to be recreated every time with different information and this information is given by the selected instance.

    I used this:

    if( (k = hiIsFormDisplayed(theForm)) then
            hiFormCancel(theForm)
        )

    before I used  hiDisplayForm() but I recieved the same error messages.

    Thank you!

    Without seeing your code, I'm not sure why that bit of code didn't work. I tested in my CIW with a form open and the form was properly closed. Anyway, if you want multiple forms, then you need to specify a different symbol in the ?name field during the form creation every time you build the form. The best way to do that is with the gensym command.

    gensym("myform")
    'myform0
    gensym("myform")
    'myform1

     Derek,

    Did this break or change? I am now seeing the warning posted here. Below is my update procdure.

     procedure(UpdateForm()
        let(()
            printf("UpdateForm\n")
            if(k = hiIsFormDisplayed(myForm)
           then
                hiFormCancel(myForm)
                myForm()
            ); if hiIsFormDisplayed
        ); let
    ); procedure UpdateForm

    I suspect this may be due to some blocking behaviour of your form - and would probably need to see the whole code to be sure of understanding what the issue is. Can you post a complete example which shows the problem? That minimizes the risk of incorrect guesswork in trying to reproduce the problem.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
