understanding the infix flag

hi all!!! I am trying to understand what hiGetCIWindow()->infix actually does. how can the infix flag be tested to truly understand its use and potential. Adhil

    Adhil,

    infix is quite clearly described in the documentation - try searching for it in cdnshelp (or cdsdoc if using IC5141). When on, it means that when using a bindkey to start a command which prompts you to enter a point, it will take that first point from the location of the cursor when you hit the key. Otherwise it will prompt you to click after hitting the bindkey. So infix saves you a mouse click.

    Some people love it, some people hate it. That's why it's a user preference on the Options->User Preferences form.
