Any way to get flat gds while pipo?

Hi,

As we know, there is no option for get exact flat gds while pipo. And after search in support, all way is to saveAs and flatten "layout view" manually or SKILL-ly.

But I wonder whether we can realize it by write a poFlatCell code for "User-defined SKILL"

I try to use dbFlattenInst, but I don'n know how to catch instance id, like "ID" is cell id.

Wish I can get your comment.

Thanks

 Jason

    Hi Jason

Actually none of the po* functions for pipo will be able to help us in this. In IC61, we can use poPreTranslate function to flatten the design before stream-out. The next alternative for you would be to use Assura's outfile function in "flat" mode. This would also allow you to generate a flat gds easily.

    Best regards
    Quek

OK, Quek. Then I think I have to back to flatten it in cdb, because I'm using IC5.1

     Thanks for your idea.
