snap spacing changed while descending

 Hi,

I am facing a problem of changing the snap spacing while descending to a hierarchy. Manufacturing grid is x= 0.005 & y=0.005 but to a perticular cell while descending it automatically sets to x= 0.001 & y=0.001 ! Is there any way to prevent this & ensure the snap spacing to 0.005 always fixed ?

Most likely somebody has done Options->Display and hit the "Save to" button to save to the cellView. If you do File->Properties (in IC61) or Edit->Properties->CellView (I think) - it's usually the shift-Q bindkey, and  go to the Properties page - look for xSnapSpacing and ySnapSpacing and delete these properties. Note that the form should show Edit CellView Properties in the banner.

That should stop that cellView doing this when you descend into it. Note that it's possible the properties have been stored on the library, but that would affect all layouts from the same library.

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the reply. You were correct. I have modified the snap spacing to 0.005. It solves my problem.

    Thanks again for the help.
