Hi,

 I am writing a skill code to create label on the mos.

The code is as follows.It is working in fine when i am selecting a single mos and execute the code.Problem comes with foreach command.I am not able to get the problem.Can anyone help me know the error.

procedure(moslabel()cv=geGetWindowCellView()x=geGetSelectedSet()foreach(obj x  c_name=car(obj~>name)  points=centerBox(car(obj~>bBox))  a=obj~>bBox  h1=cadaar(a)  h2=car(cdadar(a))  h=abs(difference(h1 h2)/10)dbCreateLabel(cv list("text" "drawing") points c_name "centerCenter" "R90" "roman" h))) hiSetBindKey("Layout" "alt<key>l" "moslabel()")

Thanks

    These two lines should not have car():

    c_name=car(obj~>name)  points=centerBox(car(obj~>bBox))

    i.e. they should be:

    c_name=obj~>name
    points=centerBox(obj~>bBox)

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Thanks.

       But that code gives correct result when i am executing one mos at a time and if also i am removing car syntax then it is giving errors like canot take cdr of atom.But this code is working fine for single mos.

    I was looking at the code on a handheld device and didn't spot that the calculation for h1 and h2 also had an extra unnecessary car() included. Here's a modified version of the code which makes the calculation of h1 and h2 more readable (by not using complex car/cdr combinations) and also works. I also added a conditional statement to ensure that it doesn't break if you have selected something that doesn't have a name attribute:

     procedure(moslabel()
      cv=geGetWindowCellView()
      x=geGetSelectedSet()
      foreach(obj x
        c_name=obj~>name
        ; conditional which ensures code does
        ; not break if selected object is not an instance
        when(c_name
          points=centerBox(obj~>bBox)
          a=obj~>bBox
          h1=yCoord(upperRight(a))
          h2=yCoord(lowerLeft(a))
          h=abs(difference(h1 h2)/10)
          dbCreateLabel(cv list("text" "drawing") points c_name "centerCenter" "R90" "roman" h)
          )
        )
    )

    Regards,

    Andrew.
