Adding a compiler to custom viewType

Hi
I am using a autogenertated verilog view in my design. The view is generated by a perl script, based on a configuration file.
I would like to add the configuration file to the Library manager, using a simple text editor as tool, there are several instructions available for this task (typically describing adding a html / pdf view).

But similar to the different verilog views that calls the verilog compiler for syntax checking, I would like to call the perl script after editing the configuration file/view. How do I add this trigger.

Thanks

    Casper,

The way it's normally done is to use ipcBeginProcess() to launch the editor, and then have an exit handler (the 5th argument to ipcBeginProcess) which will get called when the process (the editor) exits.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Hi Andrew Thanks Once I figured that the handler had to be defined as a function with two arguments, it works perfect. Regards Casper
