Renaming pcells

Our foundry gave us a PDK library that contains pcells with very long names, all in capital letters. It becomes a very tedious task to instance these devices when designing. I tried renaming them in the library manager, but it seems like this confuses Cadence - causing it to crash. Is there a way to rename the pcells? I am using ic6.14 and it seems like the pcell skill code has been built into context files.

If it's crashing you should contact customer support. I can't think of a good reason why this should happen - unless there is something where the pcell code has a dependency on the name being the original name - but even then it shouldn't crash.
