Sorry Andrew. In my previous post I write ASCII file to SKILL format instead of binary technology library to an ASCII file( due to confusion). I created an ASCII File from a Binary Technology File. And then I edited the ASCII file and replace it with existing techfile in binary technology library. Thankyou very much for helping on it.

Hi Andrew and All, Currently i want to create a script which can check the spacing between two same layer dynamically which drawing path same as DRD does. Also this spacing is custom defined by user and not what is there in techfile (minSpace etc). And As DRD will follow only min spacing rule in techfile it will not be easier to use the current default DRD function. So is there any way so that i can utilise the capability of DRD for this purpose.

First of all, since this is a new question you should start a new thread - please read and follow the forum guidelines.

You might achieve the result that you want using the DRD compactor, but it works after the edit, not during, i.e. you draw/move etc. the shapes and then compact, but there is a user defined spacing that you can apply, which is why I mention it.  You might use a spacing constraint to specify a spacing between two paths (nets), and I think that this would be followed interactively, but you would need to be using VLS-XL or above.

    Hopefully this helps you?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
