Virtuoso Schematic Editor Probe not blinking

I have 6.1.4  installed.  In the schematic editor when I go to probe with a custom LPP :

geSetProbeUserLPP(list("cst" "drw"))
geAddNetProbe()

the probe color does not blink like it should.  I have confirmed in previous version 5.1.41 that it does blink.  I have also used this code snippet to test to see if the figure would blink if set to that LPP, and it does :

fig = car(geGetSelSet())
fig~>lpp = list("cst" "drw")

 I have looked in the Display Resource Editor and seen the LPPs selecting blinking colors and I am currently at a loss as to why the probe will not blink.

    Blinking of highlights and selections was dropped because it was a performance problem in the IC61 graphics. Blinking of other layers is still supported, just not for highlighted/selected objects because these are drawn differently and that impacted performance.

    A new mechanism has been developed and this will be introduced in IC616 (the next major release).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
