how does pcDefineParamRect work

hey guys i am trying to figure out how this works. could anyone give me a sample testcase so that i can explore its possibilities.

     Adhil,

    I would strongly advise against using this. It is very old technology, primarily used inside the old graphical pcell editor.

    For the last 12 years (roughly) there has been the ability to create stretch handles on a pcell - using rodAssignHandleToParameter(). See the documentation on Relative Object Design for more details. This is a far more general solution to allowing parameterized shapes.

    In fact there is an even newer capability in IC615 which has been initially focussed on guard rings (fluid guard rings), but for the most part the stretch handle mechanism is your best bet.

    Pcells using pcDefineParamRect only allow the initial placement to be digitized - once placed you have to edit the property yourself rather than stretching it interactively.
