 Hi all,

Generally if some one editing the layout then we cann't edit it. Is there any way to edit same layout by two people. I feel its better to work for top level layout by one people work on some portion and some other people on another portions.

thank you.

     Hi Sarvani,

We have done this several times on large top-level chips.  Just create a dummy cell at top-level and let one layout descend into

that dummy cell and start connecting things up while the other person works in the real top-level.  When you are ready just

flatten the dummy cell which will bring the lower routes in the dummy cell to top-level.  There are some drawbacks to this

method though.  For example the person working in the dummy cell must make the connections "old school"  without XVL.

     Regards
