 hi all,

         I am trying to assign symbolLabel for every symbol in library by code. But  schCreateSymbolLabel is not working. How can I do it?

 procedure(loopCells(libName @optional (viewList list("symbol")))
  let((libId cvId v points points1)
    libId = ddGetObj(libName)
    foreach(cell libId~>cells
        foreach(viewName cell~>views~>name
            when(member(viewName viewList)
                when(cvId = dbOpenCellViewByType(libId cell~>name viewName nil "a")

v=cvId~>bBox
points=list((car(upperRight(v))+car(lowerLeft(v)))/2 cadr(upperRight(v)))
points1=list((car(upperRight(v))+car(lowerLeft(v)))/2 cadr(upperRight(v))-0.5)
schCreateSymbolLabel(cvId points "analog instance label" "cdsName()" "lowerCenter" "R0" "roman" 0.5 "NLPLabel")
schCreateSymbolLabel(cvId points1 "instance label" "[@instanceName]" "lowerCenter" "R0" "roman" 0.5 "NLPLabel")

schCheck(cvId)
dbSave(cvId)
dbClose(cvId)
))))

    Are you getting any error messages?

    Here are some handy shortcuts:

    centerX = car(centerBox(v))
    topY = topEdge(v) ;also bottomEdge, leftEdge, rightEdge
