how to display a field in a form using a menu item

Hi,

I would like to create a menu item in a window and when I activate this menu Item, a field (e.g. a button or a combo field) is displayed in the form contained in that window (I mean I want to create the field as a part of the form but I display it only when I activate a menu item)

Is it possible to do this with skill? I know how to create the menu item and the fields of a form but I don't know how to customize the callback of the menu item in order to make the field visible.

Thanks

Saoussen

     Saoussen,

    Please look in the documentation for (say) hiCreateComboField. It explains about the ?invisible argument (which can be passed t), and then you can use:

    form->myfieldname->invisible=nil

    to make it visible again.

    Andrew.
