    Hi Sarvani

Would you please use vi or any other editor to check for missing/extra brackets in the rules file?

    Hi Quek,

Problem in assura version.  Now it works good. Is it rule files also depending on assura version.

    Thank You,

    Hi Sarvani

Yes, sometimes rules file is dependent on the version of Assura. E.g. if rule deck uses geomConnect(incremental...) cmd, it will not be able to run on old versions of Assura.

    Best regards

Thank you for your golden suggestions Quek.

We need to use  below versions..

    - Virtuoso - IC6.1.5-64b.500.9

    - Assura - 4.1_USR2_HF14

    But we are using

     -virtuoso -6.1.4 ,    IC6.1.4.500.10  (32-bit addresses)

    - Assura -  4.1_USR2 (assura version av4.1:Production:dfII6.1.4:IC6.1.4.500.7 12/13/2010 05:18 (sfrh12) $)

Is there any chance to get voiletions If we are using these versions. We have been getting Malformed Device in LVS error report. Is there any relation between that Malformed Device error and version.

    I have got some warnigs:

    Hi Sarvani

In general, malformed device errors are not related to the version of Assura. I suspect that you are facing a device climbing problem. This means that some parts of a lower level device (e.g. recognition layer or source/drain) has been accidentally promoted to top level and hence the incomplete device at top or lower level becomes the malformed device.

You can try either of the following 2 methods to see if it helps:
    a. Re-run Assura using ?preserveShapes avParameter
    b. Use "targetLayer" cmd in your extractDevice cmd to force the device to stay at the same level.

    Best regards
    Quek

     Hi Quek,

Thank you Quek. Problem is solved. Now it works good. Problem is in layout. Previously we added one extra Layer on device which is not required.

    Thank you

    Sarvani
