Automatic conversion of old state files from previous releases

Hi

When loading an adexl view that has been made with an older version of Virtuoso, you get a pop-up box with a message asking if you want to convert that view for your current release. Is there any way to do the check and conversion (if needed) from a SKILL script so that you don't get the pop up window? The dialog window has the following code in the log: artiConvertNotifyDialog (I have no idea if that makes any sense). Also, are these conversions needed for every new release of Virtuoso? Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Max

    Max,

It doesn't happen at every version - it's only when there has been an incompatible change that needs migration. I'm not sure whether there is a public API to do this - I suggest you log a service request with customer support.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
