Cellview empty space

I have a cellview I created with XL and I can not minimize the empty space so when I view the layout it shows only the drawn objects.

What I have done to minimize or delete the empty space.

1) All layers valid, select all, deselect object to keep, delete.

2) Zoomed way out draw a rectangle then delete object.

3) Turned on all markers viewable and selectable.

Last resort to try, recreate layout.

I would prefer not to recreate the layout since I have synchronousClone and some symmetry in the layout

Is there a system layer I dont see or cant select causing the problem.

     Hello,

I think you should check first with all the layers are enabled / viewable / selectable in your LSW. (check for all the layers - edit -> select all)

Then you copy the content of your cellview into another layout cellview (using 0 0 as reference point for the copy from cellview1 and for the paste to cellview2)

Hopefully, this copy/paste operation will be enough to get rid of the 'empty space' (you are probably using old version of virtuoso , btw)

    i hope this helps

    Hello,

I also met with this problem. I knew the way creating new cell and copy works well. Looks like there are some skill code that could remove the "vacuum" area. But I can't find it right now. Any related thread?

    Hi LandCruiser,

I think your design has steiner object. A steiner is used to represent a logical object that facilitates, or is used to minimize net length of branching wires, and it is invisible.

Try to delete the steiner at your cellview and see whether it can solve your issue or not?

    mapcar( 'dbDeleteObject geGetEditCellView()~>steiner)

Yes, the problem was the steiners causing my cellview to larger than the layers showed.

    Thanks for your help
