Instance Properties

Hi All,

I'm customizing the sheet symbol from the standard Cadence library US_8ths and I would like to know more about the properties database layout of a Cadence instance. Up till now, the following properties are known:

cellView~>lastSchematicExtraction

cellView~>libName

cellView~>cellName

cellView~>viewName

Are there other properties?

Another question concerning the sheet symbol in the US_8ths is what does it mean the @rev and @author properties? I tried to look for the documentation about this but unsucceeded to find. Could you help? Thanks in advance/

     Hi there,

    To get a list of all cellview memeber just use

    cellView->?

    you will get a list with all the properties .

     If you want also the values of the respective properties use:

    cellView->??

    You will get a list like (prop1 val1 prop2 val2 ... propN valN)

    Some values could be also lists or dbObjects , it meants that you may want to dig down.

    Also on any object/inst in nsch or layout you can do like this:

    select the object

    run:

    x = css()

    ;; see all memebers

    x->??

    ;; list properties

     x->prop~>name

     ;; list props values

    x->prop~>value

    BR,

    Marcel
