    Hi Sarvani

You can check the "streamLayers" section in the Virtuoso techfile. Please use "ciw: Tools->Tecnology File Manager" to dump out the techfile.

    Best regards

Thank you Quek. We had followed the same procedure for getting GDS number. I expected a command to get this number. Any way we got this. Thank you very much for suggestion .

    Thank you,

    Sarvani.

There are SKILL functions to get this information in IC5141:

    techGetStreamLayer
    techGetStreamLayers
    techGetStreamNumber

and a few others - they're in the  <IC5141instDir>/doc/sktechfile/sktechfile.pdf manual.

Note that these aren't there in IC61, because the stream numbers are no longer part of the tech file in OpenAccess.

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Is there's a equivalent commands now in IC6.1.6 for the following commands?

    techGetStreamLayer

    techGetStreamLayers

    techGetStreamNumber

I need to to create a label in skill using the Stream Number and Stream data type only (0 0)
and the one that i can only see now in creating label is the dbCreateLable and it requires a layername or a layer number only.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Joren

    Hi Joren,

The forum guidelines ask that you not post to the end of an old thread, in this case one that is from about 4 years ago, and that you start a new thread. Also, this is a forum of many potential readers, not just Andrew, he can't possibly answer all the questions (even though he certainly tries ;-) ).

Finally, if you looked at the earlier thread you would have seen this:

Note that these aren't there in IC61, because the stream numbers are no longer part of the tech file in OpenAccess.

The stream layer/datatype information would come from a layer mapping file, so you would need to read that file and map from LPP to stream layer number and data type.

I don't mean to be rude but forum etiquette is important if you would like to get help.

    Best regards,

    Lawrence.
