Movings pins in layout view

Hello,

I have been using the 'dbMoveFig' command in order to move instances in a specified layout. Now I am trying to do the same with pins, however using the same function results in an error saying 'Invalid Figure'. Is there a different function I should be using in order to move pins?

 Thanks,

Elizabeth

    Elizabeth,

That's the correct function - but I expect you're not passing the pin figure to the function. That's the physical part of the pin which has geometry which can be moved. You've not shown your code, so I'm only guessing that you've passed a pin object rather than the pin~>fig object that you should have passed. Since the pin object doesn't have any geometric information itself, it only makes sense to move the associated figure.

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

That was exactly what the problem was. Thanks a lot for the info and quick response!
