Bindkey "Shift+0" does not work in IC 6.1.ISR15 but work in IC 5.1

 Dear All ,

There are some layout engineer , Bindkey "Shift+0" doesn't work , No  matter how changes the function , it doesn't launch.

But when you launch the function name  (called  QQ())  in CIW , it works.

However , when they are in IC 5.1.41 , it works fine.

I check the bindkey is correct defined .

I have no idea to do it.

Thank you,

Charley

QQ seems to be a custom SKILL function, anyway try it with a direct entry of

     hiSetBindKey( "Layout" "Shift<Key>0" "QQ()" )

in the CIW and check if the desired function executes then with "Shfit 0" in a "new" layout window.

If not there might be some SKILL code in the QQ function which probaly has issues in 6.1.X.

     Berndfi ,

hiSetBindKey( "Layout" "Shift<Key>0" "QQ()" ) is right , but do nothingfor some layout engineer.

I asked him to display the xterm to me ,i use his account and lauch virtuoso , it works.

Maybe the window manager or ... cause the problem

    Thank you.

    Charley,

Try using the bindkey editor in IC615. Click on the bindkey entry (the key description part) and then hit Shift-0. For me it defines it as <Key>)  (because shift-0 is ")" on my keyboard).

There have been previous posts similar to this about other key bindings - there's a change in IC61 (I think related to Qt) as to how key bindings work.

So it may be dependent upon the actual keyboard the user is using.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
