Hello,

);end_procedure

But instead, the text is printed in prompt line of CIW. What i am missing ?

    Hi Taher,

You may also want to look at or consider the "enter" functions that allow you to temporarily set the prompt during a command that gathers data - for example enterPoints, enterPath, enterPolygon...  Each of the enter functions accepts a ?prompts argument for this purpose.

I hope that this helps you.

    regards,

    Lawrence.

    Hello Lawrence,

     Thanks for your reply.

I tried to look for a function to temporarily display the text in the prompt line just like the enter functions but i couldn't find one. My Case with different than in gathering data, i need to display the text between procedures so that only factor i am waiting for is for the code to exit executing certain procedure. So i used the setPrompts() inside if loops to solve temporary display issue.

     Best Regards
