Skill file to load in virtuoso

Hi

I was thinking to write skill file which can be loaded in virtuoso to get every information about any view type like schematic, layout and symbol to automate the process.

Information can be how many shapes, components, wires etc are there.

Is this possible or do we already have any such file?

    As per the Forum Guidelines, please do not post the same question to more than one forum. I've merged your two identical questions together in the same thread.

    Your question is quite open ended. "Every information" is quite a lot of potential information! Maybe you can explain what you really need here and what your purpose is?

    The layout editor already has a File->Summary menu which maybe does what you want?

    My purpose is to load skill file in virtuoso from which I can take every information about schematic, layout and symbol. Later I want to fetch that data and put in some xml file or fill some model like uml diagram.

    Good luck then. I still have no idea what you really mean by "every information". The database contains an awful lot of information, and lots of complex relationships between various objects. It's highly unlikely anyone has written what you're after without you being a bit more specific (and even then I'd be surprised if anyone has written anything quite like this).

    For an example take any schematic, Information in this is like no. and name of pins, components, wires etc in schematic. I want to store all this information in  some text file, XML file or in some UML diagram so that later I can check the details about particular schematic. Any info like am I allowed to do so?

    Here's some code which does what you asked. Since your requirements were very vague, I suspect this only vaguely meets what you wanted.
