How to start a tran analysis with a given spectre.ic file, in ADE?

Hi All,

In a tran analysis, it takes a long time for spectre to find the initial condition solution. Therefore, the next time I run the simulation with the same stimuli, I want to use the initial condition solution previously calculated, which is stored by the previous simulation in the file "spetre.ic". I know you will say if the stimuli is the same, why don't I just use the old results? The reason I want to run it again is that I saved only part of the results, now I realize I need to see the results of some other nodes.

I would like to ask if there's anyway to do this in ADE? I know I can set the initial condition for all nodes one by one in the "Convergence Aids" -> "Initial Condition". But is there anyway I can just provide the file that contains the initial conditions for all nodes?

Thanks.

On the transient options form, in the "Algorithm" tab (in IC61X, or just on the main form in IC5141) there's a parameter called "readic" which can specify the name of the "ic" file to use for initial conditions in the transient.

    Regards,

    Andrew
