Pin label not being generated when on different layer

Hi,

I am creating pins via replay file using leHiCreateChoiceOfPin(). I need to generate the pins with the 'pin' purpose and the label itself with the 'label' purpose. However when I set the following environment variables, no label is generated:
envSetVal("layout" "pinTextSameLayer" 'boolean nil)
envSetVal("layout" "labelPurpose" 'string "label)

If I have the "pinTextSameLayer" variable set to t, the label generates properly.
Are there any other environment settings which would conflict with the ones I am setting?

Thanks,
Elizabeth

    Hi Elizabeth,

Are you in VLS-L or VLS-XL as there are settings for both that might contend with one-another, for example envSetVal("layoutXL" "pinTextSamePurpose" 'boolean t)?  I think that the pinTextLayer and pinTextPurpose options take precedence unless the pinTextSameLayer is 't'.  Also for VLS-XL there are the initIOPinLayer and initIOLabelType environment variables (there was an
issue with these not being properly adhered to in the IC615 release, but that is fixed in IC616) - so these may come into play

during generation, if they are set in your environment (and you are using VLS-XL).

    Hopefully this may help?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
