how to check from command line if a directory is a valid OA library

 Hi *,

Is there any command line to tell me if a specific directory is a valid OA library ?

I'm not interested if the  directory has an entry in cds.lib or not.

My first intention was to check the existance of ".oalib" and "cdsinfo.tag" files, but I'm not sure if it is enough.

A skill script could also help, if there is no other option.

BR,

Marcel

    Marcel,

For the cdsinfo.tag entry, you could use these UNIX commands:

     cdsinfo -path ~/demos/OCEAN/mylib/cdsinfo.tag -lookup CDSLIBRARY

    or

     cdsinfo -path ~/demos/OCEAN/mylib/cdsinfo.tag -show

Unfortunately the -checklibrary option isn't what you want because it reads the cds.lib.

That said, this isn't fantastic because you'd have to parse the output - it's not really intended to be an "API" to check the library. I don't believe there are any OA UNIX level commands to check that a library is indeed an OA library.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

     Hi Andrew,

    Thanks, cdsinfo is enough.

I'll check the existance of .oalib and cdsifo.tag as 1st step; then I'll parse the output of "cdsinfo ..." command.

    It's more than OK.

    Best Regards,

    Marcel
