Pin/terminal locations on symbol

Am I following the correct path?

geGetSelSet()~>instTerms~>term~>??

What is the path the find the pin/terminal location of a symbol in a schematic?

    The pin figures can be found using:

    geGetSelSet()~>instTerms~>term~>pins~>figs

    (if in IC5141, you can only have a single figure per pin, and so the last bit is ~>fig). Even in IC61, ~>fig is supported - in which case it will return the first figure on a pin. Since the schematic editor doesn't utilize the pin connectivity model, you'll only ever see a single figure on a pin anyway (unless the pins were generated using SKILL).

    You can then use ~>bBox to see the bounding box of the pin figure. The coordinates will be in the coordinate system of the symbol (rather than the containing schematic), so if you want them transformed to the schematic's coordinate system, you'd use dbTransformBBox to transform the bBox, and pass instId~>transform as the transformation.

    Hope that helps,

    Regards,

    Andrew.
