bbox values in menu

Is there a way to store several bbox values in a menu without converting it to a string?

Example of value

bboxList = '(((131.8625 -760.5125) (131.8875 -760.4875)) ((131.8625 -749.5125) (131.8875 -749.4875)))

 I have tried several of the hiCreate* menus but it seems the functions are wanting strings or a single coordinate list.

    Paul,

    It's really unclear to me what you're trying to do. I don't see why you would be wanting to store bbox values "in a menu". What does that mean? I'm not sure which menu function wants "a single coordinate list". The whole point of a menu is to provide a means of calling a SKILL expression when selected, so I simply don't get what you're trying to do.

    Maybe if you explained your final goal it might become clearer?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Sorry for the vague question.

    I was trying to create a menu that stored the coordinates of pins/terminals in a schematic. With the stored coordinates, I could going to next/previous coordinates similar to the Cadence search gui. If I can't store the values in the menu I will have to create a global variable.I would rather not use a global variable.

    Paul,

    Maybe this toy example will help show how you could do something like this? The key is storing the info as a user defined property on the menu item (could be on the pulldown menu itself too - depends on your application):

    procedure(CCFmenuBBoxExample()
        let((next)
            next=hiCreateMenuItem(
                ?name 'next
                ?itemText "&Next"
                ?callback "CCFmenuNextCB(CCFpulldownMenu->next)"
            )
            hiCreatePulldownMenu(
                'CCFpulldownMenu
                "Community Fo&rum"
                list(next)
            )
            hiInsertBannerMenu(hiGetCurrentWindow() CCFpulldownMenu 30)
        )
    )

    procedure(CCFmenuNextCB(menuItem)
        let((zoomBox ur)
            ;----------------------------------------------------------------
            ; Arbitrary default value if zoomBox property not set
            ;----------------------------------------------------------------
            zoomBox=menuItem->zoomBox || list(0:0 2:1)
            printf("Zooming to %L\n" zoomBox)
            hiZoomIn(hiGetCurrentWindow() zoomBox)
            ;----------------------------------------------------------------
            ; Do some silly update of the zoomBox property so that the next
            ; zoom zooms somewhere else
            ;----------------------------------------------------------------
            ur=upperRight(zoomBox)
            zoomBox=list(ur xCoord(ur)+2:yCoord(ur)+1)
            menuItem->zoomBox=zoomBox
        )
    )

    Regards,

    Andrew.
