binding function from a form that keeps changing

Hi,

I bound  the function that displays fin locations to a key. I used the log filter to show what happens when I click the radio button to enable and disable fin locations and bound that function to a key.

this is the function:  sdTrackPatternForm7->trackListing->fin_locations->value =  nil

The problem is every time I restart cadence (which is too frequent), the form number changes. It can be sdTrackPatternForm145, or 8 or any other number.

is there a way to bind this independent of the form?

thanks

I did a bunch of experimentation in ICADV12.1 with the finfet snapping capabilities and couldn't find anything like you described. The "grid" assistant as part of the palette is mainly to control visibility of the grids and patterns and generates "pte" functions in the log. I couldn't find anything using an "sd" prefix either.

So I checked with R&D and they agreed that this is likely to be some customization done by your company or foundry rather than being Cadence code. So you probably need to ask whoever produced it. If you can post a picture (screenshot) of the form you're trying to interact with and also the subversion (type getVersion(t) in the CIW), that would help me confirm this just in case there's been a misunderstanding on my part.

Pictures can be uploaded using the Options tab when replying to a post.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew
