    Assuming that by "sexp" you mean "s-expression", then lineread() is what you want.

    Andrew.

    Thanks Adrew.

    It works, must i still need to post-processing the result.

    Appreciate if u have any example so i can refer? I was thinking the result will build as a list where i can directly obtain the info.

    How,

    I don't understand. You can directly obtain the info from the list. For example, if I have a file "config" which looks like this:

    (nil
      library "mylib"
      cell "mycell"
      view "layout"
      works t
      expensive "very"
      )

    Then I do:

    port=infile("config")
    data=car(lineread(port))
    close(port)

    now I can do data->library and data->view etc. Note the car - this is needed because lineread returns a list of forms, as there could be more than one form (sexp) on each line.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
