Is there a way to change the font/color or make bold , the prompt string in all the GUI command such as hiCreateStringField(). The prompt is too light right now

    Hi,

The documentation states that the function hiCreateStringField() accepts an optional ?font argument, but it is currently unused.

However, look at the documentation for hiSetFont(), this allows you to globally change form and menu fonts...  See also the CIW menu Options -> Fonts for a graphical UI for setting the fonts.

    Hope this helps!

    Lawrence.

And there's no support for changing the colour. Sorry.

Not for a specific field. You can do it in general using Options->Fonts in the CIW (with more flexibility in IC617 due to Virtuoso now supporting TrueType fonts) - but that will apply to all fields. This is exactly what was answered earlier in the thread, so I'm not sure why you're asking it again (other than the new info about TrueType fonts in IC617)
