    That's because it is not a core SKILL function, so won't be in the SKILL User's Guide or Reference.

    In Virtuoso:

    • Help->Virtuoso Documentation
    • View->Show Navigation (if not there already)
    • In the search box, type schHiCreateInst

    Or run <ICinstDir>/tools/bin/cdnshelp and do the same search.

    Or if using IC5141, you can run cdsdoc or use Help->Cadence Documentation in the CIW and then hit the "Search" button and search for the same function.

    Or you could use support.cadence.com and search there for this function.

    If using IC5141 and can't get cdsdoc to because you're using the unsupported (for IC5141) RHEL5 or RHEL6 platforms, see this recent post for a couple of strategies to allow you to use either cdsdoc or cdnshelp with IC5141.

    Thought it better to teach you how to fish rather than giving you the fish...

    Andrew.
