Object Sensitive Menus - in Layout

Is there a way to add object sensitive menus in layout?

In the schematic editor we can create a popup menu that is based on the object under the cursor with:

schRegisterPopUpMenu

 

Is there an equivalent method in Layout? I know I can build one but don't want to write the code if it is already in the system.

    Look in cdsFinder for functions that begin with "mb". They're what you want.
