How to get hierachical power pins?

Hi, currently I'm working on the top level power distribution analysis. On the top level, I want to specify one power net like vdd, vcc. Then I want to know which nets in all deeper levels are connected to the net selected. We wrote SKILL code to traverse all instance terms using simple recursive way but it's really slow for a large-scale circuit (around 2,000 pins to extract, takes around a day). So do we have other option or we should improve our algorithm?

     Is your loop processing by instHeaders instead of instances? Each instHeader can represent multiple instances and you only have to process a single master and then extrapolate the results to each instance.
