Warning-suppression

I attempted to use Andrew's solution from this thread to create a macro to suppress ALL warnings (getWarn only suppresses one).

However, it does not appear to have any effect on the warn builtin:

(defmacro bcmNoWarn (@rest body)
  `(let ((nullport (outfile "/dev/null")))
     (unwindProtect
      (let ((woport nullport))
        ,@body)
      (close nullport))))

*WARNING* Careful!nil

warnings are buffered - they are not output immediately. This is to allow you to use getWarn() to swallow the last warning. Unfortunately that didn't work in the other thread because the warnings had been flushed. You can modify your code to say:

    (defmacro bcmNoWarn (@rest body)
      `(let ((nullport (outfile "/dev/null")))
         (unwindProtect
          (let ((woport nullport))
            ,@body)
          (progn
    (getWarn)
    (close nullport)))))

    Regards,

    Andrew.
