Change SkillIDE default directory

Is there a way to set the directory that SkillIDE launches from? I would like to specify the directory that SkillIDE looks in when I hit ctrl+o after launching SkillIDE for the first time after launching Virtuoso. It seems to default to the directory where Virtuoso was launched. I assume this can be set through the .cdsenv or .cdsinit files, but I haven't had much luck digging through the manuals.

Thanks,
Mark

    Hi Mark,

Not sure this is possible, but it's easy at least to define various "favourite" locations that you want to use frequently. I've certainly done this in IC616 (didn't check in IC615, but I think it's the same).

When you bring up the file browser (i.e. File->Open or Ctrl-O), if you navigate to the directory containing the directory you want to add as a favourite, you can then drag the directory into the list of directories in the left hand pane.

So for example, I went to /home/myuser and then dragged a directory called "SKILL" into the left hand pane. I then have "Computer", "myuser" (i.e. my home dir), and "SKILL" showing up.

In future sessions you then can do File->Open and click on "SKILL" and you're there already. It remembers the location each time you do File->Open in the same session anyway...

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the respone -- I didn't know you could add favorites. That will work well.
